The source reading
O ye who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor shout when speaking to him as ye shout one to another, lest your works be rendered vain while ye perceive not.

A named account
Narrator attribution: Ibn Abi Mulaika, with a report from Ibn al-Zubayr
The narration describes Abu Bakr and Umar disagreeing about a recommendation when a Banu Tamim delegation arrived, their voices rising and revelation of the verse.
Original concise paraphrase. Read the complete linked report for its wording and chain.
What this establishes
The report explicitly connects that exchange with the instruction about raised voices.
What it does not settle
A sub-narrator does not remember one recommended person’s name. Preserve that uncertainty rather than filling it from another account without attribution.
